Q    Is underfloor heating controllable?

A    Underfloor heating must be controllable. It is a heating system, and therefore is subject to Building and other regulations. Any component part required to control underfloor heating is readily available and must be included in the complete system.

Q    Can underfloor heating be used in conjunction with a radiator system?

A    Yes, in fact it is quite common practice to install a hybrid system. Each part of the whole system will have it’s own controls which must interact with each other.

Q    What about different floor coverings?

A    No problem, as long as common sense prevails. Everything that is laid onto a warmed floor will have an insulating effect (except tiles). The designer must have floor covering information to produce an accuratelly designed specification for underfloor heating
